He would be like Manchin, disliked and the odd man out

He's on an island in between an increasingly progressive left and a hardcore regressive right.

I'd actually to see a Hogan-ish real viable third party form in the middle. It would allow compromise to be possible again and shave down the Republicans ability to be a boat anchor. As history has shown generations are more liberal than the last, in a generation the new centerist party would be the actual viable right wing party, and the Republicans would wilt away into a shrill but powerless ghost.

He's a Republican in a blue state. It says a lot for him that he's on his second term. I feel safe having him as our governor.

The first thing I noticed about him is the way he takes time before he answers. IOW, he thinks before he speaks. This has become unusual in a republican.

I would like to see the republican party die. It has become toxic. Maybe there is hope for their party if there are a few like him.

And we'll continue to have more deaths until we run out of protestors.
