1. I would have puked all over my innocent answering machine/phone.

The GOP/tRump prerecorded messages go to my phone machine and I always have screened. My outgoing message has been the same for 3+ years..."leave a message unless you are a Republican, than run along". I really want to say "...than go fuck off" but I may offend someone who is an anti-profanity Dem. The tRump Team still leaves a recorded message and it pisses my off!

2. They won't leave a message. That SOP for campaigns, unless it's very close to election day.

Next time, answer and tell them, "Please put me on the do not call list". I volunteer for campaigns and that is the one thing that works. You can also tell them, "Put me on the do not call list for all political candidates". (This may or may not work depending on the GOP database..It won't prevent Dems and local candidates from contacting you though) However, it should prevent the Trump campaign from calling again.

You could say you're a Democrat, but it won't do much good. They will just call another time.

I was wearing my Beto shirt, went to the house and asked for his wife. It was raining hard and they had a really small front porch. He was a redneck type. After 10 minutes of waiting, I knew I had been had.

10. I would not do that to a volunteer on my porch. Even a trump supporter

It would violate my code. But someone sitting on a phone maybe getting paid. No problem. And I would not lie. Just keep them talking.

I get plenty of unwanted bullshit calls.

Ya know the unsolicited phone calls started to get really bad when trump took office.

Is it just me that noticed this?

The National Do Not Call Registry
gives you a choice about whether to receive telemarketing calls

You can register your home or mobile phone for free.

After you register, other types of organizations may still call you, such as charities, political groups, debt collectors and surveys. To learn more, read our FAQs.

If you received an unwanted call after your number was on the National Registry for 31 days, report it to the FTC.

Sellers and telemarketers:
Go to https://telemarketing.donotcall.gov to access the National Do Not Call Registry.

My mother was a lifelong Republican who saw the light with Obama, supported Hillary and despised tRump. So the RNC, RNCC and other pro-Rump orgs call all the time. I answer like I am her and they all say they have a one question survey they would like me to take. It is always a version of “with the strong leadership President Trump is giving the US during these challenging times, do you think the media is treating him fairly”? So I always respond something like “Trump is a corrupt, racist, sexist pervert and the media should investigate him more thoroughly than they do!!” . What is fun is that they never try to persuade me otherwise but have a canned response that they will add me to their Do Not Call list so clearly they get this type of response often.
