Help me out - who plays Quint in Jaws 2020? It's the guy with the most "old-school" knowledge and experience, doesn't listen to the young upstarts, becomes the hero in a terrifying cool way, and is ultimately doomed. However Quint has the best line in the whole movie: "You're gonna need a bigger boat!"

but, Chief Brody is the one that said "you're gonna need a bigger boat"

Quint had the Indianapolis speech, which was finished by the actor himself, Robert Shaw

This line has become one of Jaws' most iconic, both for its dry delivery and for summing up any situation where most resources are needed. Jaws' screenwriter Carl Gottlieb was present for most of the movie's production and played the supporting part of Harry Meadows. In 2016, Gottlieb told THR that Scheider improvised the line, though it was based on a joke that had spread around the crew during filming. This was based on the producers buying a barge to hold all the production's lights and equipment which was supported by a boat that was far too small for the job.
