Dont want to break out the , but
I've been doing daily number-crunching and analysis on COVID-19 cases for the better part of two months. In carrying out this analysis, Ive been relying on the case report put out each day by the CDC, since its the most-standardized by time-frame.
Today, for the first time since Ive been checking, there was no daily report. Since theyve already stopped showing the cases-per-day breakdown separately, this means that, if/when they finally put out another composite report, there will be no way of doing a daily breakdown.
Does anyone detect the hand of the administration in this? Especially since were now one week after many states have re-opened (two weeks after Georgia started doing so), so we should just about be at the point where any surge in cases would begin to show up in the daily figures
EDIT: They finally got out the report, almost seven hours late. Friday night news dump? Although the number of new cases, expressed as a percentage of total cases, is still quite low, it has been steadily, if slightly, trending upward over the past four days, after a long period of heading downwards.
