(24,654 posts)To fill the vacancy of the vice presidency requires confirmation by a majority vote of both houses of Congress.
Now I grant you it is extremely unlikely, and I honestly can't see it happening. But in the unlikely event they were to both get the disease and ultimately die of it, regardless of the order of their deaths or the time gap between the two deaths, the House could theoretically delay or deny confirmation to see what happens with the one who survives the other.

(10,165 posts)Barr, McConnell, and their cronies have demonstrated that the Constitution and rule of law mean nothing to them. If both Trump and Pence are incapacitated or worse expect to see Barr try to put Jarvanka or someone equally pliable in charge, despite what the succession laws say.
