But beyond that I'm now getting quite worried that the bottom is about to drop out.

We are in a catastrophic period. Teetering on the edge between horrible and far worse. The Repigs seem to want to walk obliviously over that edge.

I was taking a walk the other night thinking that in spite of all that is going on around me, I have it quite good: a loving husband, no debt, a small job I appreciate, food on the table, gas in the car, a roof over my head ... all these wonderful things. A good life. Yet I can't overcome this horrid feeling of angst and the loathing of our "leadership and his ilk".

it's always stunning how so many of our problems are linked to GOP ignorance, racism and greed.

I can't stand to be watching sitcoms that take place in the 80's or even reruns from the 80's where they reference Ronnie, Bush, etc.

brushed my teeth...looked at DU but didn't click on any story, looked at the MSNBC page but didn't watch any of the clips, and went back to my umpteenth viewing of the great british baking show.

some days I'm not up to the news. I may watch Rick Bright's testimony later. I'll check the Johns Hopkins page and the local News and Observer as I do daily a few times. I'll sleep more.
