Most DUrs are following the advice of medical experts. I ignore the covidiots and use my own common sense. F these fools.

Truth is, very little data truly speaks for itself to the unskilled. It takes interpretation to put it in perspective.

Someone should ask Dr. Cassidy if he would take a dentist’s advice on interpreting a colonoscopy report. Guy may be a great dentist. What about a code jockey...guy might write incredibly tight code but can he interpret a colonoscopy.

So yeah...in the broad sense all data is open to interpretation. Just not agenda bias non-expert interpretation.

Such asshats.

And ask you to close your eyes and listen carefully to the data.

You'll find the data are silent.

Even if you read the data, you don't know what they mean.

You need to know how they were gathered, to judge their reliability.

You need to know what data was rejected, to judge their integrity.

You need to know what else could have been considered, to judge their context and completeness.

You need to have an overview, to know what they're proxy for, what they imply, what they contradict.

You need to know what options are for behavior based upon your conclusions.

You need to know the implications of each of those options because nothing is without consequences, everything is both effect from some cause and the cause of some effect. You close schools--how many kids are now at home full-time with sexual predators, how many kids are depressed, how many kids have no food, how many kids were borderline failing and now, at home and unmotivated, will be an additional 12 weeks behind and never catch up? How many kids are now going to be sheltering with neighbors (violating orders) so their parents can work, or how many parents lose income because of day care responsibilities?

Data speak.
