That, more than anything else, would disgust the MAGATs. They're fixated on Trump as the epitome of masculinity (as they define it): mean, bullying, blustering, coarse, unwilling to compromise, averse to emasculating knowledge.

He just insults the woman who asked a question, storms out of the room, and throws a snot slingin' fit at his staff.

Tears would show he's human, which he aint.

He's one of them. We have to come to grips with the fact that at least 1/3 of the electorate is morally deficient and would not hesitate to lie, cheat and steal if it served their aims. That goes double for evilgelicals. They have no problem with Donnie's moral failings. They have the same failings and consider them virtues. Strange people, never to be trusted and best kept at arms length.

14. Echos of my mind....

I agree 100% and until recently struggled to reconcile evangelical support of Trump with common human decency. In my work deconstructing the God of Abraham (GoA) several common characteristics keep popping up which I pulled together into the following:

Here are four attributes that I have recently noticed in a certain individual, see if you can guess who it is.

1.) Never takes direct and personal responsibility for any of his immoral actions.

2.) Always shifts the blame to someone or something else, usually onto an innocent person.

3.) Never accepts being questioned no matter what he says or does and immediately discredits anyone who does questions his words or deeds in order to render them illegitimate.

4.) Despite having an over sized ego and claiming to know everything, leaves a procession of failures and incompetencies in his wake.

Did you guess that I'm describing Donald Trump? Good guess, but you'd be wrong. Not wrong in thinking that what I've listed describes Donald Trump, it does. But I and most people have known that for a long time, and we knew this about Donald Trump well before he decided to step into politics.

No, while what I listed does apply to Donald Trump, that is not new news to me or to anyone else. What was new news to me is the realization that all of the above also describes the full biblical version of the God of Abraham (GoA). And that's when I finally understood why evangelical Christians love and support Donald Trump, Donald Trump is GoA's Mini-Me.

Donald and GoA share a common set of morals, or if you prefer share the same lack of morals.

I can understand why the haters and knuckle dragging, gun loving morons cheer him on, against their own interest, but what about the so called moderate, country club set. They can’t possibly admire him or believe he is a good person to lead this country.

The country club set wants the tax cuts he promises.

In other words, they want all the goodies that taxes provide - from national security all the way down to pothole repair - but they don't want to have to pay for it.

#Donaldgate. Pass it on.

"Evil never fails to avail itself of a fool that can be used to its purposes."

That's a good one, too.

It's yet another aspect of Donaldgate. ( #Donaldgate )

and for the compliment. I do manage to turn a nice phrase every now and then. My tag line is one of my favorites, of course.

The thing to remember though is that I have to sift through the other 98% of the garbage that my mind produces to retrieve those few nuggets that, if polished, can be made to shine.

This idea that anyone who supports trump is a mouth-breathing racist is dangerous. 44% of the country is not that.

But if he appoints the right people, sticks the right judges in, and conducts favorable economic and foreign policy, then what do they care about the rest?
