General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI just got a COVID-19 test. Results are pending.
I'm not expecting to be positive, this was to be cleared for an upcoming procedure, not due to any suspicions that I have it.
The swab was very narrow and flexible. It stung, it was not pleasant, but not nearly as bad as I'd heard.
I have some nasal irritation, and a slight headache.
The headache might be due to stress more than any actual reaction to the test.
It's nothing to fear or dread, if you need to get one.
I was told I would only hear back if I test positive.

(25,111 posts)With me constantly going to hospitals, ie, Kaiser, UCLA, and Torrance Memorial and other medical facilities with cousin who is now in chemo, picking up prescriptions for father-in-law, each facility always take my temperature, so I kinda feel safe.

The flu swab is unpleasant, but it could be worse.......
