Trump has tried every trick in his bag, but he cannot handle, avoid, or distract from this virus. Being overly-optimistic has not worked. Lying about prepardness has not worked. Talking up miracle cures has not worked. Having daily press briefings has not worked. Stop having daily press briefings has not worked. Bashing Dr. Fauci has not worked. Distracting from the news with "Obamagate" has not worked. Blaming the Chinese has not worked. Promoting the lockdown protestors has not worked.
Every day the main stories have been either the virus or the depressed economy, and Trump's mis-management of both. These crises require real leadership, and he's simply not up to the task. Trump's a marketer, not a leader or a manager.

(2,412 posts)He must resign! This is the idea we must push and the drumbeat we must pound. I am tired of hearing all the whining. We must ACT. Make demands of the press. Fortunately for Trump most people are not willing to risk their lives by going to Washington DC to Shut It Down! We must make a great noise and say ENOUGH!! The Lancet called for him to step down and I want to see that in every newspaper in the country. The NY Times described him as going on a rampage Friday with firings and changes and attacks. They are close to asking for his resignation. This needs a push!

(33,643 posts)And he's probably managed to profit monetarily (or at least those close to him have).
There is no other definition of 'working' that is important to Needy Amin.
We could have 10M dead bodies and he'd still think what he's doing is 'working' if his approval stays over 40%

(15,393 posts)Emphasized by media that needs a good show.
Emphasized by PR firms in his pay (good luck with that) and plutocrats that need to kill off democracy.
Emphasized by grand-standing paid-for actors staging revolts.
I don't trust many of the mainstream polling organizations. Their methods are suspect and reliant on old technologies (phones?, T.V.s?, radios?)
And of course I don't trust fuckbase or its appendages.

(7,513 posts)once that got away he flailed around trying to recapture it. Then the economy became a problem. Now that is all he's got. That and trying to divert attention away from his utter failure.

Illustrates your point in an understated way. Subtle like a ton of bricks.

(34,499 posts)Not even a fake scandal (OBAMAGATE!) is working because anyone with two brain cells to rub together knows that it's utterly ridiculous. Forget that the whole thing is a made-up lie, but he wants us to believe that somehow only trump has an Imperial Presidency, that anything and everything he does is beyond reproach, consequence, and is entirely legal. So why wouldn't that apply to the 44th president, too?
Fucking moron.
