FLIPPABLE: Charlene Eads for IL-HD79

Charlene Eads is a long time resident of Bradley. She moved to Kankakee County as an international student from Ghana attending school at Olivet University nearly 25 years ago. She fell in love with the county and eventually married. She pursued her Master’s Degree at Governor’s State University and has a teenage daughter at Bourbonnais-Bradley High School.

Charlene is a union steward with AFSCME Local 29 and a Democratic Precinct Committee Person. She is a founding member of the Illinois Democratic Women of Kankakee County with Heather Bryan. The purpose of the organization is to encourage women to participate in the political process and work towards equitable representation of Democratic Women in all levels of government.

Charlene and Heather first met while attending Olivet College over 20 years ago. Both are Democratic precinct committee persons in Kankakee County. They have worked several campaigns together and Charlene ran for County Board in 2018. Both are active in the local NAACP getting citizens registered to vote.

As we gear up for the 2020 Primary Election, we hope you can join us along the journey as we turn Kankakee County Blue in 2020! We would love for you to join us.
