is that you're expecting humans to stop behaving as they have for 120,000 years. Maybe next we can work on getting bonobos to start behaving like pelicans.

I prefer Mark Twain's (paraphrased) "History doesn't repeat itself but it often rhymes."

The new model shows that in southern counties, particularly in Texas, Florida, Alabama, and Virginia, the risk for resurgence is high over the next four weeks. These states have moved to reopen, at least partially, since the team published its last model in April.

Texas really began to surge late last week, but then their numbers came back down for a few days. Can't help but wonder if they are manipulating data.

their policies of money over lives is going to boil up to the foremost of everyone's mind, and will be pinned forevermore onto the GOP thugs everywhere they go. A massive but mostly avoidable tragedy that they, in trying to push themselves to the forefront of being seen as the party best able to handle the CV epidemic, will instead cause 1000s of more lives to be lost. I only hope that in states where they've reopened, that authorities will quickly move and shut down hot spots immediately.

He has done an admirable job with the gun nuts in this state but please put off going to phase 2!

I like him but if he caves we all will suffer.

but salons and barbershops can reopen with limited capacity using masks and safety protocols as well as inside dining in restaurants with distancing and limited capacity. He and Dr. Cohen said they have been consulting with restaurant groups to come up with safety protocols for reopening restaurants. He is keeping the size of public gatherings limited as before.
