Carolus Linnaeus Swedish botanist, explorer and the Father of Taxonomy, born in Råshult, Sweden 1707. Is probably the most important modern figure on the list..LOL. The guy who invented the transistor was also born on May 23. I can't decide...LOL I'm a master gardener. Linnaeus is everywhere..LOL
