There is no good ending.

The seeds have been planted.

There will be no good ending if Joe Biden wins in November. The Cult is not prepared to accept any results other than their own. The nation has been successfully divided by Donald Trump and the Republicans.

Just like the Covid, they will return after the election. They will accept no other reality. They believe the virus made its last stop in America, on its trip around the world. They do not believe it will ever return. They believe it will disappear miraculously.

This may sound too negative or fatalistic for some. But, in my opinion, it is the reality we are now living. There is going to be no easy way out.

One side is science-based and will do all possible to limit exposure; on the other hand, one side is doing everything possible to defy a lethal virus by ignoring all precautions. Which side will orevail?

seems the same for me. I think many of us are becoming more and more aware of the large number of Trumpers that will continue to infect our country with their ignorant and hateful actions. It's very worrisome.

They can whine and kick and scream as Pres. Biden is sworn in, but make no mistake, he will be the president and they can accept or not, I really don't give a fuck.

And if they try to fight it with guns then that will be met with equal force.

and I think we will...this will unleash a flood of popular progressive policy...including improvement of the ACA and a public option, Medicare reforms including paying on your entire salary, reform for capital gains income, stimulus and jobs programs for the economy, infrastructure, 15.00 minimum wage, manufacturing help including making what we need right here, help for college kids starting with allowing it to be put into bankruptcies...Biden may very well end up being the modern FDR in the end. And our job is to support it all even if we want it to go further...get your foot in the door. Look at the ACA, we created a demand for health care that helped us win multiple elections. And health care is now viewed as right by most Americans.

But, it is good to dream, to hope, to believe.

There is a lot of re-building to do.

divide...a consensus building, by the book, squeaky clean, diplomatic, thoughtful person who cared about everyone. I guess I overestimated the capabilities and underestimated the prejudices (ethnic, gender, party, nationality) of the 30% of people who ended up Trump cultists, along with gop leadership who aren't interested in joining forces with dems to solve problems and govern. Sadly, there were more of them in the country than we thought and the country has paid dearly.

I think you're right...they won't be happy, but at least they won't be in power.
