Articles I have come across in the past emphasized how computers have replaced a large part of the trading floor.

Did that change? Or is this more "Grand Reopening Extravaganza" propaganda? OH, LOOK!

There is no benefit to packing these drones onto the trading floor, except as a public relations ploy.

I'm a bit of a Disney fan, although I don't participate on the message boards, I do read them. And it amazes me, when Disney replaces an attraction, people act like you stole a piece of Walt Disney's soul.

So is the Stock Market trading floor, its more tradition and show than necessary.

in part, so that at least a portion of trades are done "openly" for all to view. If it was done solely by computer or in back-rooms, the potential for undetected shenanigans would be higher.
