Just tell the pos offender that you take care of covid patients. Watch while they quickly back away. They will have no smart ass comeback, because they know deep down in their little 🖤s that everyone is @ risk, even their sorry asses.

(102,448 posts)Because I might well be the last one they see before sedating them for intubation.
That usually shuts them up.

(30,613 posts)I might just go with "...because it will be the last one you see before my fist hits yours."
Or maybe not...

(65,289 posts)"I work in a epidemiology lab. In case I screwed up at work, I don't want to infect others."
I think it would shut them up, but there'd be nothing to get pissed about.
That said, the compliance in stores is so high, there aren't many drones to act up.

(235 posts)Wasn't harassed, but in the store where there are multiple signs that state - masks are required. Two people - Tweedle Dumb and Tweedle Dumber - were allowed in and walking around shopping without masks. I just happened to have a self-induced vicious coughing attack when they got in the same aisle as I was in. They turned and went down another aisle- wonder why?
FDT!

(3,059 posts)While it's got to be a good time watching them back off immediately, I really don't think I owe anybody an explanation. Really don't give a damn about their insane rants, conspiracy theories, or "breathing problems".

They're relatively cheap, comfortable, and have lots of neat pockets.

My wife did that while getting hassled in a Dollar Tree. She said the igits hassling her fell over each other to get away as fast as they could.
She got a good laugh out of it, anyway.

(11,686 posts)for wearing one they will not mind me standing next to them despite the fact I tested positive ( lie of course ) and am just a symptomatic.
No, I would not actually do that but it sure is tempting.
I am chomping on the bit for my Biden 2020 mask cover to come. I ordered 2. One for wearing when I go to Olympia ( dragonflies ) to help my blind friend and one to wear in my very red county.

(29,676 posts)19 staff and several residents have tested positive and I'm waiting on a mandatory test. Of course if it makes you uncomfortable I can take it off.
They said I could leave it on,lol.

(12,165 posts)No one has said anything to me about wearing a mask, and I'm seeing probably 90 percent of the people shopping in the grocery store wearing a mask. All of the employees have masks. I'm in Atlanta, so perhaps this is more of a problem in more rural areas.
I can't get over how selfish someone has to be to forgo a mask, though. Wearing a mask helps others. It's an act of kindness and empathy.

(5,031 posts)Quite honestly that I work at the local medical school and my office is the equivalent of 1 small block from the emergency department - do they REALLY want me to take off my mask? I don't bother to tell them it is a literal block away (a different building) or that I haven't been in the office since March.
I haven't been hassled here and most people have been respectful even if they aren't wearing a mask.
