Right now, you got a city riot going on, because once again the police has failed to protect us, like they say they was gonna do. (cut) Us as a community, we not gonna protect ourselves, but if we dont have anyone to protect us, then this is what you get. You get riots. You got people out here going crazy. We losing loved ones every day to people that are sworn in to protect us. Its not us its the police. This the madness they spark up. This is what they encourage. This is what they provoke. This is what you get out of you taking some love from someone. This is what you get. You get a lot of people thats hurt. And they cant fix it the right way. They cant no longer depend on the police to protect us like they say they gonna do. So this is what you get. And no, its not going to end today, I cant tell you its going to end tomorrow, I dont know when its going to end. But its where you oughta start. We not the one thats killing us. Its yall thats killing us. We cant make a change if yall dont change.
His voice starts out sad and gets higher and tighter and angrier as the clip goes along.

He gave a powerful speech, and it's good to be able to read what he said. I listened again and heard "And they cant fix it the right way."

As he gets older he should discover that the majority of officers are good people. It's a shame the bad apples get all the media attention.

(16,134 posts)8. The thing is that the "good" cops are unwilling to speak up
about the "bad apples".
So, the bad ones stay, they get promoted, they do as they please, knowing that those around them will support any action they take.
It is a police culture issue. It is a training issue. It is an issue of the kind of people who are recruited and hired by police departments.

where a soldier looks after his fellow soldiers no matter what.
