Where is the Minnesota AG Ellison?

Why are they waiting on the feds when the state could easily bring up murder charge? Most murder charges are state anyway. I heard the Hennepin Co. atty doesn't like to charge cops, but the AG has the authority to install another atty or bring state charges himself. WTH is going on there? If I shot someone on video, I'd be arrested immediately and thrown into jail.

she could tell he was upset but that he was being extremely careful in what he said because he didn't want the cops' defense attorneys to be able to twist anything he said to claim he was unobjective.

This is a legal matter, and one tiny little mistake early on can mess everything up. In the long run, taking a cautious and measured approach is the best thing.

within the jurisdiction of the counties, with the exception of some specifically-listed unlawful acts mostly relating to consumer protection. The legislature delegated the responsibility of investigating and prosecuting all other crimes to the individual county attorneys. https://www.ag.state.mn.us/Consumer/Protection/Default.asp

10. Unless Freeman refuses to charge anybody, there's no reason for a special prosecutor.

The fact that that hasn't happened yet is most likely because the feds are involved and they have priority over anything the state wants to do.

And knowing the local Media, one has to be cautious with statements and stories. Tom Kelly as well as Mr. Grey are great at creating a Media Circus. Unless Freeman issues a arrest warrant tonight or tomorrow, the fix will be in and it will get ugly real fast.

When these incidents happened the prosecution SHOULD NOT be kept local.
