They're really fucking up Fairfax Ave. in LA

There’s no reason for this. Most of those stores are Mom and Pop shops that were already having a hard time because of Covid. Glad Canter’s Deli and Farmer’s Market have been spared, so far.

I do not understand violence and destruction. All this is doing is making the protesters look bad whether they did it or not. The people who does the violence and destruction are just giving fuel to the people they are protesting about.

These people, despite being ones who are actual protesters or are there for other reasons are hurting other people themselves. All of the people who had jobs in the buildings that were burned down now do not have jobs. People are out spreading COVID to others. People have been killed in these protests.

Every single protester needs to ask themselves if George Floyd would want these violent and destructive actions done in his name.

No matter how unjustly something was done to me, in no way would I want any of this type of stuff happening in my name.

Then a bunch of young punks, who were not part the protests, descended on downtown and began rioting. The rioters were not BLM or White Supremacists or Antifa or Black Bloc. They were young Hispanic youth with no supervision and skateboards. I think they were just bored and looking for action. (Maybe they should take up smoking pot instead)

We actually had the White Supremacists at our protest. (The White Supremacist are always there to "protect the Alamo"...which is just stupid. Most are from out of town and carry AR-15) The White Supremacists show up at most of our protests. Police presence was high in order to keep the BLM, Brown Berets and White Supremacists away from each other. Nothing happened. Once those groups left, groups of kids showed up causing trouble.

I have a feeling that it's not legitimate protesters. They know that this will harm their agenda. Why would they do this to themselves.

Not everything is covered. Also for mom and pop places, this is their everything. And it should be destroyed for “the cause”? Maybe those who feel that way should torch their own things.

doing the looting from the peaceful protesters. Glad that it is not being blamed on the peaceful protesters. We need the protests but not the fires/violence/looting. It is truly sickening. What a setback on so many levels.

There will probably be a spike in covid cases too -- so all the medical personnel and essential workers will be adversely affected by this.
