On CNN, National Security Adviser Robert O'Brien says Trump's tweets calling protesters "thugs" and threatening to shoot them are meant to "deescalate." #UpIsDown

I wouldn’t be shocked if it’s true and he thinks that by playing the strong man lobbing threats he will get people to back down.

it would never have occurred to me that the proper response, to people who are wrecking the country, could be as simple as just shooting them. But I guess maybe I really should be open-minded. I'll carefully consider the pros and cons lining schmucks like Robert O'Brien up against the wall
