If someone told you on the day after the election in 2016 that in four years ...

We would have a record setting deficit, an addition $7 trillion dollars of debt, a negative GDP, double digit unemployment and 130,000 Americans would die in three months from a pandemic that Trump called a hoax ... nobody would have been surprised.

The experiment of electing a failed frozen steak salesman turned reality TV game show host turned out exactly as expected,

So why does the media continue to act surprised at how much of a disaster Trump's failed Presidency is? Did they think that somehow it accidentally wouldn't have been a complete disaster?

...but for those who are, the surest, fastest path out of the club is to drop the "both sides" pretense and clearly identify where the problems are coming from -- Republicans and conservative zealotry.

Just ask Norman Ornstein.

As for why that is, ask the people who sign the contracts of the people who act surprised.

the shit storm happened. But I don't think anyone could imagine how bad it could get. If he gets four more years this country is doomed.

The first 3 years of Trump's presidency were as un-challenging as any President in our nation's history. he inherited an economy that was humming along, major conflicts worldwide for the US were under control, and things were just all around pretty good.
