It is a staple of Republican/Conservative advertising. They associate policies with people who are boogeymen for voters. They use people like AOC and Nancy Pelosi to scare voters into thinking that their state will become like California or New York.

Ted Kennedy, Tip O'Neill, Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton......

They throw these names out like boogeymen.

AOC joins illustrious company.

I wish we could use Turtle Asshole the same way.

It is not a good look to take credit like using her in ads caused a win.

It is so much like another politician who thinks everything happens because of him.

AOC did not take credit for anything other than not being the false-fear face of all evil that the OK republicans, in their fight for full freedom for others to die in fear and fright, sought to sell to citizens .

Oklahoma citizens won and the government lost and AOC came out boss. She is more humble than the spinners hope.
She needles like a mosquito, sharp and unseen but obvious when the itching begins.

from Fidel Castro to Ayatollah Khomeini to Putin. None of them rushes to snag publicity by tweeting something.

If you noticed, Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama were also used in those ads.

It is the irrelevant publicity seeking streak which is not a good look for a politician. Politicians should seek publicity by actually doing something like proposing and passing legislation.

That is like Trump advertising Biden is beholden to China and Ukraine ... and then Biden wins. Can China and Ukraine tweet and take credit?

Last night Mauree Turner who is a Muslim and LGBTQ candidate won the Democratic nomination to a state house seat in urban OKC. She will easily beat the GOP candidate in the fall as Dems outnumber GOP 2-1 in the district. If elected she will be the first Muslim to be elected to the Oklahoma House if Reps. She was endorsed by Rep. Omar.
