South Dakota Governor: "We Will Not Be Social Distancing" at Independence Day Event with Trump

From the article:

The Governor of South Dakota has said there will be no social distancing at an upcoming Independence Day event. She also said masks will not be required at the celebration.

President Donald Trump is due to attend the event marking America’s independence at Mount Rushmore on 3 July. Republican Governor Kristi Noem told Fox News on Monday there would be no social distancing requirements.

Is this considered good news, or bad news?

In a Darwinian sense, one might say that this is good news. In a moral sense, it is bad news.

Shoulder to shoulder, cheek to cheek - super spreader event. I'm just sorry for the healthcare warriors who will have to care for these stupid self centered people.

Then take your sorry ass home to die.

Since we don't have anything like universal healthcare, we should put the onus on individuals making correct choices.

Just like they used to do.

No, I really expect that the politicians will be socially distancing, using shields and police to guard against the hoi polloi from getting too close. The politicians are perfectly fine with their constituents catching and dying of any disease (less money to the social welfare programs, more to them and their friends.)

And that they all hang in crowded bars with no masks, and are served only by other Republicans who think like they do. I also hope that a big wall is built around the gathering so no one goes in or out for six months.

Survivors will be given a chance to change their party registration before any of the three of them are sent home.

... sacred lands. Once upon a time I hiked around "Devils tower." I saw many prayer flags tied around the trees, at the very base of the towers, so inspirational! Prayer flags placed, because that place is sacred, always was, and will continue to be sacred. I felt the spirituality, such one of those powerful a places on earth.

This place was stolen from Natives. Fuckers in SD will never allow a partnership between the powerful whites and the Native Americans. Now trump wants to fire off fireworks to celebrate (delusional) the 4th of July. More importantly to boost his turdig brand. trump chose this site, fucker go home. Fireworks over a Pine forest is beyond stupid. What? Do they want to start some kind of forest fire to burn out the Natives?? I hope not but if they do ... is it like shooting someone on Fifth Ave. ? Will he get away with it?
