For the last four years, we have worried about where our nation has been led by Donald Trump.
We have worried about our environment being polluted for the sake of corporate profits, and wonder what will be left our natural resources when our grandchildren are grown.
We have worried about the glaringly obvious corruption of this pResident and his cohorts, and the influence of adversarial nations on his policies.
We have worried about the constant divisiveness that pits one American against another, and the fact that these divisions are encouraged by the pResident and his party.
We have worried about whether our votes will be counted, whether the voice of the people will be somehow thwarted through trickery or treachery even whether the current resident of the WH will go peacefully when he loses.
We have worried whether whats been done can ever be undone, and whether our very democracy itself can survive the endless battering it has endured for the last four years.
But as of tonight, our biggest worry is about who among us will be able to cast our ballots in November simply because were still alive.
Given Trumps refusal to do anything to curb the spread of Covid-19, confirmed cases are spiking and the death toll is rising. And its only going to get worse.
There are people walking around right now who wont be here in November. Whether they planned to vote for Trump or Biden is of no consequence. The fact is that they wont be here because this hoax-of-a-pResident has failed on every level of leadership imaginable.
As they say, let that sink in. The citizens of the United States of America once-upon-a-time lauded as the greatest power on the planet will continue to die needlessly in order to placate a tantrum-prone madman.

(32,675 posts)it gets noticed. Then it becomes time to change. Might be the only positive to come out of the nightmare.
It was always there hiding, now we know.
Now we see it, now we vote, now we change the rules, now we speak up.
Good luck.

(297,196 posts)family and friends in the military, in Afghanistan, they have the added dread and panic that their loved ones have more chances to be killed, with as much as $100,000 bounty on their heads, from Putin.
That trump has done nothing about except Lie, and reward Putin by withdrawing Troops from Germany, and oozing to invite him to the G7 and NATO. Putin is not our "friend" as the traitors gaslightingly(new word) maintain.
Kicking this excellent thread.

(32,637 posts)... would have voted for Chump. He's losing his own voters to the virus. And he doesn't care at all.
The fatal flaw of our system of laws and our Constitution is the assumption that those elected to Congress would have the best interests of the country at heart. The Founding Fathers assumed that those who took an oath to uphold the Constitution would ACTUALLY MEAN IT. But we now know that's not true, especially in the case of the Senate. But it's also untrue of much of Chump's Executive Branch.
The fatal flaw needs to be fixed immediately or we cannot continue as a nation.

(12,545 posts)normal Americans vote this public menace out. He will stoop to depths we have never seen to avoid the clang of the prison gate behind him. The juvenile cult has thrown a monkey wrench into the fan, and it's up to the adults to remove it before the rudderless ship hits the proverbial iceberg. The Romanovs beckon from Hades.

(33,342 posts)Republicans don't care about how many people die from the virus so long as they can keep power and keep destroying government by way of the cult. Any sensible act or policy by government must therefore be opposed and used to inflame the cult.

He's definitely too dangerous to be on the streets (or in the WH).
