put a fork in him, he's jumped the shark, the emperor has no clothes

i think the time is ripe for that one quip, zinger, or catchphrase that crystallizes a person, a moment, an image.

i don't know who will say it or where, or exactly what words will resonate. but i feel like the country has longed for that moment for years and the media is finally ready to shift to one of its favorite narratives, the "we built you up now we'll take you down" story.

maybe biden in a presidential debate.
maybe a reporter who has had enough.
maybe just an ordinary person in a viral video.

but i think the dam is ready to burst, and with the right phrase, the media will finally decide to portray donnie as a lame duck loser.

that moment can't come fast enough.

Astrologers have long predicted that June would be awful for him and August will be hell.

I agree with you. We are ripe for a "Have you no decency?" moment that finally resonates.

they'll be screwing us over soon enough and laughing in our faces. Keep the profile low, but VOTE. Sticking needles into them is great but let's beat them at the polls. HEAVILY.

It's about the media narrative. If *they* write him off and start talking and acting like it's impossible to win, Donnie is toast.

Note there's a big difference between a media narrative of being an underdog and being written off.

That said, point taken, we can't get complacent, there's still plenty of time and work to do. And the senate is a good motivator to keep pushing.

it's interesting to see how now the news (other than faux) just says it now... that Trump made a dishonest statement or that he tweeted a racist meme. back in 2016-2017... they would beat around the bush

Yes, it's progress of a sort that he's finally called out as divisive and a liar. Too little, too late, imho.

The media needs to refer to him as one of the worst presidents ever, one of the most incompetent presidents ever, surely the least ethical president ever, and grossly negligent at best regarding covid-19.

He had a wacky novelty act 4 years ago, but by now he's deep into reruns and formulaic rehashing if old themes.

Boring, from an entertainment perspective.
