Democratic Voter Protection values

I am a proud member of the Democratic Party and I love the fact that Democrats have strong beliefs on voter protection. I was taught in 2004 when I went to work to Florida to work on Kerry Edwards voter protection team that Democrats also protect the vote and never ask a voter who they are voting for. The premise of Democratic Voter Protection efforts is that if every one gets to vote, then the system works.

I just got my logon on for the LBJ system for Tuesday Texas primary runoff on and I was happy to certify to the following:

To demonstrate a commitment to upholding the Democratic Party's shared voter protection values, I pledge the following:

I will assist any voter who seeks assistance, regardless of the candidate they support.

I will not engage in any act of voter suppression or dissuade any voter from voting.

I will not challenge voters or ballots in the Democratic primary process.

These are values that I had no trouble certifying to and agreeing to live by
