Robert Mueller is taking a stand against Trump and Barrs pardons of a Michael Flynn and Roger Stone and besides his WAPO OPED he seems eager to speak out And have a final say of the investigation that he led.
I hate that he didnt take this stand when called before congress and played word games to indicate that Trump committed crimes but held the position that he was powerless to do anything and wouldnt say the manic words.
Lets give him the chance. Although late, he deserves that chance.

(16,955 posts)would have been much more solid and respected if he had taken a stand to defend the work his office did for the "Mueller Report" and what BarrBarrHut did to deface it.
Now, yet other example of "too little too late."
LEGACY?

Maybe he's had a chance to think about things and wants to repent, but I doubt it.

(3,407 posts)within 3 weeks of Barrs confirmation. Barr has purged everything that Mueller built in the FBI and handed to Comey. Now Trump is slandering Mullers name. I would love to see it if The old Bob Mueller shows up for that fight

(54,770 posts)Barr didn't make Mueller state almost 30 times in his report that "we found no evidence that trump or his campaign . . . . ."
He even went as far as to let trump Junior and Kush off the hook for the trump tower meeting by stating they were too stupid to possess the requisite intent to charge them with conspiring with the Russians.
That's on Mueller.

(3,407 posts)Committed purgers and multiple counts of obstruction even attempting to get Mueller fired himself. Mueller had the goods on him, Barr takes over and redacts the guilty parts from the report.
I want Bob to tell the truth. He was more than Rambo to me before the report, I give him the chance of redemption.

(46,777 posts)Possibly had an understanding with Barr. If Roger Stone goes to jail, he would leave quietly. But, Trump did what Trump does best.
If Mueller want to save his legacy, he needs to take Barr down. Trump will follow.

(51,659 posts)Is his legacy more important than the country though? Come clean for the country's sake, not how he looks in the history books.

(54,770 posts)Mueller could have stood up and told the truth before Congress, but he wimped out.
so he needs to come clean about it
Barr DAMN SURE DID shut it down

(26,513 posts)"uber corrupt" repuke vibes. I don't think he's the worst. But it's hard to believe for me that he wouldn't see the cancer at the WH. As well as in the so called Justice Department. If so. It was his duty to "do more". As one of his top prosecutors admitted recently.

(10,278 posts)Imho, without those lines, we end up with a Ken Starr. Mueller colored all the numbers as the instructions in the book told him to.
It was BARR who told the american public that we were looking at Barney the Dinosaur, instead of a passive aggressive criminal conspiracy.
It's lonely out here. Thank you.
