Be careful what you wish for.
Trump is wishing to win the election. He is no longer trying to win the election in a normal way. He is trying to win by inciting violence and voter suppression. The Majority of the American people see this, understand this.
I do not put much stock in a single poll, however when I see polls that all show the same thing for many months, I take notice. For many months the polls show Biden winning in a landslide. People are locked in for this election. The polls are not going to change much unless the virus disappears, economy improves, in the next couple of months. That's not going to happen.
If the polls remain the same until election day and Trump wins, Trump will get his wish and he will not like it. Trump will get the violence he seeks right now. That violence will come from the majority of the American people. There is no way in hell the majority will except Trump stealing the election. All hell will break loose.
If Trump steals the election he will not be able to govern the country. There will be a rebellion in congress and among the people. I have no doubt.
A sane person in Trumps shoes would understand the game is over. They would be looking for a safe way out. Not Trump, he is going to burn everything down.

(2,037 posts)If that loathsome orange con man somehow "wins" in November, or if he doesn't and then tries somehow to steal the election by pulling some 12th amendment stunt like the one Thom Hartmann describes or some other stunt, there is going to be an uprising in this country that is going to make the George Floyd protests look like a Sunday picnic. Shucks, I will take to the streets if that happens. I kind of wanted to join the George Floyd protests but didn't because of my age and health and other concerns. But if that orange thing tries to steal this election, watch out when people like me start taking to the streets.
