Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI keep wondering why there's not a massive call for tRump's Resignation
As the death toll rises from Covid19 and the country is still without a plan, Dr. Fauci and his family get death threats, T retweets dangerous medical advice by a doctor who takes alien sperm and demon sex seriously while the death toll is at 150K, Russia has a bounty on US troops, the list goes on and on. He is seriously mentally ill according to mental health professionals and an imminent danger to the country.
We're watching the death toll rise, the economy dive, we're facing the possibility of millions of out of work and homeless (due to evictions) people.
Why is there not a massive and unrelenting call for his resignation? Does anyone have insight into this?

(2,022 posts)And its become even a bigger mystery. Not citizens, not politicians.. nobody will call for him to resign. We are way past the point where Democrats should have said "this man is unfit and we will not move forward until he resigns or the 25th Amendment is invoked".

(12,511 posts)They hate democracy and fear equality. They want to turn America into a feudalistic,
greed driven,
fascism with slavery and total control over the peoples' lives. They. Want to force us to depend upon them and thier corporate buddies. And they want to hold our lives in their sociopath hands..
They want to destroy the government and hate and abuse whatever they want to without consequences.

(52,503 posts)The media would have gone crazy with resignation speculation ages ago if he were a democrat.
Clinton had a consensual affair and was deceptive about it and they went nuts, talking about resignation and impeachment and how can he govern with that cloud over his head and so on. Donnie has two dozen allegations of sexual assault on top of affairs he's lied about and paid others to lie about. But he's a Republican so they cover those stories then quickly move on. They certainly don't fixate on how can he govern with those clouds hanging over his head.

(6,960 posts)... that for the first time I think there might be a real possibility that he will develop medical issues that will cause him to step down as the Republican/Trumpican presidential nominee.
In his own mind he can probably work it out that it isn't 'losing' if he cannot physically keep going.
At this rate Trump is going to be defeated in a humiliating landslide ... he won't be able to psychologically handle that.
Watch over the next few days and see if the murmuring and rumors start about his health.

(12,511 posts)I would not want to be on the same psych unit as him. I would tear him apart every chance I got.
And I would not care that I hurt the manchild psychopath asshole one bit. Hell it would be cathartic for me.

(3,266 posts)that he ever would resign. Why waste the energy, might as well shit in one hand and wish in the other, and see which one fills up first. In a million years - and after getting away with a million infractions - hell never resign.

(8,934 posts)aren't happening or don't matter. That, and the normalization of his behavior in the MSM have kept this monster afloat. There are people that have been calling for his resignation since the first day he was in office, but we have been drowned out by these other voices.

(3,407 posts)The day after his inauguration there are 1million women that marched against him, a couple of months too late but nonetheless; His administration has generated a major scandal each week of his presidency. DOJ said that you cant indict a sitting president, Senate republicans state that perjury and extortion are not Impeachable crimes, The Attorney General said Monday that Stone and Flynn didnt commit meat and potatos type crimes despite being found guilty by grand juries therefore not punishable by prison. There have been opinion pieces, books and TV commentary by senators, congressmen, and even the Speaker of the US House of Representatives demanding his resignation, so many that it hardly makes the news anymore if it does it is for 24 hours and forgotten.
We all agree that he shouldnt be in office, but Tell us all how your demand for resignation is different and how it may be more substantive than those before you.

(32,917 posts)... and most were before this year. However Chump ignores them all.
None of those people demanding that he resign happen to be Repukes, and that's how he ignores them. Also it's never mentioned on Faux News or the other RWNJ news channels he watches. If it's in print, it won't matter because he never reads. He might look at the headlines once in awhile, he'll look at a newspaper if his photo is on the front. That's about it.
For the most part, if it's not on his TV or his phone - he'll never see it.

(36,567 posts)Personally I would throw some new impeachment charges at him, just to make him squirm, but in the end, we are a nation resigned to waiting until November and hoping for the best. Not a very good plan IMO, but then, I don't think the dems have been very good strategizers for a very long time and that's partly why we're where we are, teetering on the edge of fascism. Lest anyone think I'm putting it all on the dems, I'm not. The electorate bears equal responsibility for our peril, as evidenced by this graphic.
