The WH/Senate Repubs never intended to negotiate with Dems on COVID relief.

Everything Mnuchin, Meadows, McConnell and all of the other assholes did was to steadfastly block any deal Dems would agree as a compromise. It was all done so 45 could sign Executive Orders and be seen as a decisive and effective leader working to save America while Congress failed to act. Sure, his EOs may not be legally binding but that is irrelevant. He can proclaim he acted when no one else would even though in reality his negotiators never wanted to act in the first place. Fuck everyone of those corrupt assholes who are intent on destroying America. This is a dark day for our country.

If the President ordered Mnuchin to do so, he might.

No Congressional approval required in that scenario. With a single, mumbo-jumbo, legal memo from John Woo, Congress’ power over the national pursestrings could be cut.

This is a precarious moment in the history of our republic.

This has all been another "episode" of the trump shit show. In this one the republicans plot to make the Democrats look bad, and trump rides on his "elephant" and saves the day. If it works he takes credit for all of it, if it doesn't work, well someone else will get the blame, as usual.

The only ones that will buy into his "hero" game, are the same ones that will support him no matter what he does. His cult followers won't be enough to win, and I don't really believe anyone who is not already in his cult will buy into this BS. You either for him, or you hate him, and those who hate him are growing in numbers everyday.

His days are numbered!
