Trump never did.

If trump was lying (aka speaking) and trying to shout over Biden, Trump would look at Biden. Biden would look at the camera and spoke to the people.

Biden said “that’s a lie” when Trump went off on Hunter Biden. It was effective.

Biden was calm. Trump turned more red as the night went along. Biden told trump to shut up.

All in all Biden made the best of a fucking nightmare of a mess of an uncivil discourse.

A minute is a very long time when you're trying to just survive it. In the end, I couldn't take the venal vulgarian's nonstop mouth. Tried once more when I heard how well Biden was doing, but felt the same visceral rage as soon as IT interrupted again. IT is terrible for my blood pressure, never mind my overall mental health, and I was a fool for thinking I could watch even part of this spectacle.

Based on Trump's insane performance tonight, his refusal to follow the rules, there shouldn't be any more debates.

and listened to Rachel, Nicole and Joy afterwards.

Nicole identified Trump's behavior as an abusive bully. Joy identified Trump's motivation to demean the norms of our democratic process. I think Rachel was shell shocked.

I don't remember which of them said it, but clearly Trump doesn't want an election and why if Putin doesn't have to do debates should he have to be bothered with any of this.

I watched him live occasionally in '17, mid '18. More often live radio since I didn't want to look at him. Then I decided almost always just listen to news recaps

So since I've not done this much - I decided to watch.

I wanted to see and hear Biden.
I wanted to see when, how Drumph lied.
I wanted to see and hear how Drumph would
behave badly.

So I did, saw and heard.

They were yelling at dumpster etc. mostly. I am watching some of the after news. I had come back from pt and then was doing various things. Had I been home and not had to put groceries away etc. walking around while it was going on I would have not watched any of it live. Even the news coverage of it is pretty bad mostly. All the feigned surprise and shock at what happened. There is no surprise to any of it.

I had a feeling it was going to be a shitshow of Trump interruptions and it was never going to change my vote so I thought I'd save myself two hours of pointless aggravation.

Good to see consensus that Joe won. Don't think it's really going to make the slightest difference to anyone.
