(302 posts)In response to the phone call, whose audio surfaced Sunday, David Worley, a Democratic member of Georgias state election board, which Raffensperger chairs, asked him to open an investigation.
Asked if he would do so, Raffenperger said: I believe that because I had a conversation with the president, also he had a conversation with our chief investigator after we did the signature match audit of Cobb County last week, there may be a conflict of interest, I understand, that the Fulton County district attorney wants to look at. Maybe thats the appropriate venue for it to go, Raffensperger said.

Play the tape in full. Impeach by up or down vote. There is no other angle to this story.
Let Mitch and his Moscow enablers support T---- on this, AGAIN! Make in congressional record.

(8,995 posts)Pelosi needs to use the hours of debate after the Jan 6 charade to play the tape entirely to the 126 treasonous ass holes in congress before a vote. Put it on record, they knew what they were doing to destroy democracy. And still voted to do so.

(2,144 posts)If, after threatening the Georgia SOS with criminal charges, he finds himself having to face criminal charges. In addition, I would be surprised if he had not violated some GA statutes.

(3,437 posts)Meadows tried to put one over Raffensperger and his lawyer by saying "we have agreed that we are going to meet in the next 24 hours to look at your data", to which Ryan said "that is not what I said or agreed to, what we will do is explain to you why your data is wrong." Not verbatim, but close enough...
The lawyers should be disbarred, they should know that Raffensperger cannot hand them the data they are requesting, it is against the law.

(6,470 posts)Now a parallel referral needs made to the Fulton County District Attorney and the Georgia Attorney General for prosecution under the Georgia Crimea Code. Good to pursue the parallel criminal track as theres a good chance Agent Orange resigns on January 20 so Pence can pardon him as that principleless weasel has shown hell do whatever the crime Don wants him to.

(2,708 posts)The FBI may investigate but it is the state of Georgia that has the clearest path to indict and arrest Trump because Trump violated specific Georgia law and committed a felony doing so.
After bad southing Kemp and, now, the SOS, I think Trump has no reason to expect Georgia to look the other way from his crimes. Maybe theyll have to wait until January 21st to actually levy charges against then ex-president Trump. Well see.
(And when Georgias done with him, they can let New York have him.)

(64 posts)A law unenforced is not really a law. Is this the kind of government we shall have? How can we make sure this kind of thing NEVER happens again? I fear the next Republican president will be permanent.
Lock him up.
