Maybe it's not Don but Jared selling them to Nuttyyahoo, or prince SMB bs.

Hay can be made by selling a story about the US nuclear force, or by directly selling the content of the documents.

Considering the Trump family is involved, money was likely the object. Somehow.

The Saudis have practically unlimited funds, and that's the only thing Trump loves, besides himself. That $2 billion Jared got from the Saudis wasn't because Jared is a phenomenal businessman.

He's been in Putin's grip for a long, long time. Some of this info was definitely lifted for future sale or use as blackmail material. The rest of it was a gift for Vlad and Friends.

The documents help assure him he is still the real President in his own addled self-centered mind, even though I'm sure he know he lost he could never accept losing, as Mary Trump has stated. The possession of the documents are to him "proof" he is the real President. He can show them off.

Since he thinks they belong to him, I could envision that he could sell them at some point as a matter of course, but don't think that is the main reason.

I think he may have wanted to run a "shadow presidency" at MAL...
He never stopped campaigning. Those documents could also be used to his political advantage.
With him, it's all about power.

If he sells them, he loses power.

He's not the smartest guy, but everyone knows that knowledge is power...Why sell it?
