Because marge told him to.
The U S House of Representatives. Soon to be the greatest tragic-comedy of the season.
Im optimistic the gop clown show of 22-23 will be good for Dems in the long run.
And theirs that Jack Smith guy. Lurking in the wings.

(36,556 posts)Americans have such short memories, it will be good for them to witness two years of GOP poo-flinging in the House before they go to the polls.

(36,827 posts)Im not convinced her constituents would be all that willing to vote for her if they knew what a blithering idiot she is. Even if it did manage to save her seat it would cost the GQP 50. Seems like a good deal.

(5,957 posts)Meantime the Senate can approve judicial nominees, other appointments, and conduct the serious business of Government. Empty Greene and Bim Boebert can have all the shouting contests they want and create nothing but headaches for McCarthy. And see my tagline about that.

(3,534 posts)of the violence that took place on Jan. 6. I was thinking of those who gave preliminary tours to the attackers, those who texted the locations of the members of Congress to the hunters, those who gave speeches to rile up the crowd while wearing body armor, those who were in attendance at meetings where TFG's people were organizing the attempted coup.
I think Jack Smith will cast a wide net.
Do you think that the votes against confirming the Electoral College results rises to the level of illegality? I hadn't given that much thought.

be great to see GOP lose majority on that shit.

(37,150 posts)After a free and fair election is treason, and should be so treated. The EC was created by slave owners to protect the rights of slave owners. It should be abolished. J6 was just another example of how conservatives never wash the sheets but continue to sleep in the same bed.
I got a fucking cosmic, totally radical idea. One person, one vote. No electoral college bullshit which exists to protect the minority of our citizenry. They dont want to get rid of it, just like they didnt want to get rid of statues of Robert E. Lee.
70s were a great decade to serve teammate.

Will they have to subpoena their coworkers to get them to talk?
On any given day they're always ready to take the floor and blab.

they're 150 miles from the buffalo racist mass shooting and all those stations have been selling versions of 'replacement theory' vs immigrants to help GOP sell voter suppression, excuse racism, attack kneeling athletes, oppose abortion and women's rights, comfort the NRA and always oppose gun control.
it should be a no-brainer attack for SU students, faculty, and NY dems. those radio stations are the only reason weasel POSs like Stefanik end up in govt.

(9,955 posts)Too often, we have let the crazies set the talking points, but we have won by owning the conversation.
Their craziness and acts of selfishness, cruelty and violence should be seen as ways to turn people away from the cult, and get some good old "Republicans in Disarray" in motion.
See what happened in Colorado Springs as a result of both horror and dedicated public service:

Once a Rightwing center, CO Springs now a pale shade of purple GOP pivoting from the Q-Club massacre
There will be less rooting for "Biff Tannen" as a smartly orchestrated plan rightly paints the GQP as NOTHING BUT purveyors of obstructionism, oligarchs, twisted myths, treason, violence, insurrection and cruelty (let alone what I call heresy for hijacking faith and weaponizing it for purposes of power, hate and violence), and BY THE WAY, guilty of everything they project onto others.
