Should Dominion settle with Fox?

Yes or no, folks. (And I'd love to have been in that gathering in the picture.)

2. Depends how long they want this to drag out

If they don’t care about getting the settlement now, then don’t settle, win and then run this through the next 3-5 years of the appeals process. That also risks getting a Trump judge or appeals panel that overturns the potential jury decision.

Or they take the settlement now, FOX pays a substantial settlement and it’s over.

Pros and cons each way.

3. I figure Dominion will make decisions as a business interest, not

from a patriotic stance. So I'm not holding my breath for anything amazing to come from this.

4. No-BUT a settlement would have to include an admission by Fox because Dominion must protect its name

I would love to see fox go down in court, but IF there is a settlement, there's no way thta Dominion would accept without Fox admitting publicly to what it did. Otherwise, Dominion's brand is still tarnished by this.

6. No, Fox basically destroyed their voting machine business.

There are still a few million people out there repeating the Fox lies and damaging their ability to do business. And who's to say the next business venture Dominion or a rebranded company they will try to launch won't be targeted by Fox next time for some specious or political agenda.

Casual Fox/Newscorp lies have killed people and businesses since the 1990's.

Take them down with prejudice.

8. If I were a Dominion executive, I would certainly consider it.

They are in business to make money for their shareholders, not further social justice.

That said, I hope that they do take a socially responsible stand and drag Fox through the slimy swamp that they created. Perhaps they can serve both the nation and the shareholders. I would hate it if Fox was able to buy a cover up though a non-disclosure settlement.

that they can't cover up the settlement because Fox is a public company. (She's covering the trial for MSNBC, fyi.)

10. That is an interesting tidbit. I had no clue.

But we know that the best thing for our nation would be to have a long drawn-out release of damning materials on Fox. Something that might, maybe, in some rare instances, force some of the Fox Faithful to question their source.
