Lisa Blunt Rochester of Delaware will be the 3rd black female elected to the US Senate.

Blunt Rochester is the clear favorite to win the Democratic nomination. A recent poll has Blunt Rochester leading John Carney by a 10 percent margin. Carney has not announced whether or not he Is running.
Blunt Rochester has the endorsement from Tom Carper and will win the November General Election due to Biden coattails.

Angela Alsobrooks of Maryland has to defeat David Trone in the Democratic Primary. David Trone is a wealthy businessman turned US Congressman.
