As much as I respect her for being vocal about the dangers TFG represents, music kind of died for me when Zep split and Lennon was murdered. As a musician, I find most pop music poison to my ears. My parents felt the same way about my music. I am happy for her and all of her fans yet art and beauty are indeed in the eye of the beholder. Her music is just not for me. I am cool with that.

After plaid shirt days and nights when you made me your own
Now you mail back my things and I walk home alone

Mine mailed me back my stuff, no note, nothing.

Don't know if she kept my scarf.

We crossed paths years later at a technical conference. The best we could manage was pretending we didn't know one another. Don't know if anyone noticed me struggling to suppress a panic attack.

My grandma held the false belief that whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Mostly I walked away with scars and another big rock in the bag of PTSD and craziness I'm shackled to.

On the other hand anger can be a strong motivation. If my life was always a fairy tale happily ever after, would I lose that motivation?
