afterwards I got to thinking Biden should start making guest appearances on all the talk shows including
FQX headed into Roevember.

He looked good keeping up with the jokes and his wit and charm shown through for everyone to see.

Weekly talk show visit, chalk it up to campaigning.

I wouldn't demand weekly talk show appearances---
but a little more than we've been seeing him would be nice, AND effective!

I was LMAO during the first segment, and attentive in the 2nd....

And the line about how TFG 'couldn't even get his own wife's name right'
was both extremely timely and BRUTAL TRUTH!!!! He killed me with that one!

YES----- MORE of this!

capable of looking good. He got smoked by Letterman on this appearance. He wouldn't do anywhere near as well on any late night show now. I suppose he knows better.

I remember seeing that episode when it first aired. Trump certainly came unprepared. He was just there to hawk his cheesy merchandise and Letterman had his number.

That's like a breath of fresh air after tsf. Never trust a person without a sense of humor.

It always amazed me that President Biden has always had the ability to meet people on their level.

To all who wonder why I am amazed?

It is because this characteristic belies the truth that the mind behind those eyes is sharper than those he meets. He has the ability to gauge, adjust and then respond all in a manner that gives rise to trust.

President Biden is 'We The People'

was the standing ovation from everyone in the audience, and Biden didn't even have to hire people and pay them to be there to cheer for him......LOL

However, after the niceties were exchanged, and Seth and Amy cracked a few jokes, Joe barely made it through a fawning soft ball interview. He stopped mid-comment a few times (perhaps he was stopping himself from swearing about Trump), so never really got up to full steam on the points he was trying to make.

Glad his team decided against the Super Bowl interview, and hope they don’t succumb to pressure to hold debates with Trump, especially since the GOP has withdrawn from the Commission on Debates, which would mean any debates would likely be a Wild West, no rules fiasco.

Still, I hope Biden will make the Occasional appearance on TV, maybe Colbert and the View?

I know my take won’t be popular, but there it is. These circumstances may require some innovations in campaign strategy to keep Biden in the public eye, get his message out, yet protect him from vicious attacks that may detract and distract from communicating his accomplishments and vision for the future.

I’m still not worried about our chances for victory in November

It wasn’t really an interview. It was talk, as in talk show. Joe talked about some important things but mostly he got to be a person, relax and show his chops in a place where no one is going to shout questions or dissect the nuances of every syllable.

And this kind of thing is deeply reassuring. Joe gets to be Joe. He’s a terrible actor so you trust that you’re seeing a glimpse of the guy. And that’s an important part of the president. That other guy cannot do that. And that speaks volumes too.

You said this so well. I like a person and a president who can candidly show their humanity. Rather than a blathering puppet.
