There are still tens of millions of brain dead Trump voters in America.
He's now said aloud, that immigrants are "animals."
And he's threatened if he doesn't win the election, there will be a "Bloodbath."
This doesn't surprise or shock me. It's who he is and always has been.
But here's what does surprise/shock me. Millions still intend to vote for him.
What the fuck is wrong with these people?
His voters have heard those words. Yet, they're still with him.
What the fuck is wrong with America?
He's uncovered something we may not have known about some of our friends, neighbors, and even members of our own families. And once the Orange Prick is dead and gone, it won't change how we now view them. I guess we've all assumed that basic human decency was a basic quality to be found in most people. Especially those whom we thought we knew.
His legacy will be that he's shown us that much of the world is far more ugly than we ever imagined.

(8,690 posts)...serial killers tend to dehumanize their victims to themselves before murdering them.
I fully believe that trump is intentionally attempting to prepare and prompt his followers to commit widespread violence to the immigrant and population as well as any non-magats.
I believe he is now using his rallies to recruit people into a violent mob ready to act on his signal.

(21,711 posts)This is why fascists always have an edge: 1) big business backing, of course; but 2) human nature itself.
And the more they can scare us with this or that, the more fascist we tend to become as a group.
Deep down, sadly, our brains are still wired for caveman life - the only thing we've ever known until a geological blink-of-an-eye ago.
This is why we tend to be greedy, horny, gluttonous, devious and misanthropic - those very flaws promoted survival until just a few thousand years ago.
In other words, Trump.
Think. Again.

(8,082 posts)1) There is a planned oil production stoppage by the Saudi buddies of the trump family, and their OPEC cohorts, well, and Russia. This is the part of the coup that is supposed to hit Biden hard enough to make the election seem much closer than it would have been without the huge rise in oil prices. Oil prices are about to go sky high in the fall....just in time for people to freak out and blame it on Biden like they did last time...and of course, the right wing media will be telling people every 10 seconds that it's Biden's fault.
2) The hiring of Chris LaCivita of Swiftboating fame to run the trump campaign. They have also lined up a planned huge influx of (Heritage Foundation-type) Billionaire donors, across the country and the world. The Swiftboating mode of operation is to make Biden's strengths appear to be his weaknesses, and they will go for the jugular, like they did John Kerry back in 2004 with the lying Swiftboaters. They plan to lie about Biden 24/7 with just enough truth to make it appear legit, and it will be all over rightwing media & social media.
3) The hiring of Atty. Christina Bobb, beauty queenish Q-anon believer, election denier and right wing propagandist extraordinaire, to oversee "election integrity". They want to make sure mail in voting is seen as the end of all election integrity, and one of the pillars to turn their newly hired/lined up lawyers loose with "receipts" this time. No matter what they have to rig at the local level, they are going to make sure they can point to "evidence" this time that will hold up in court, or at least hold up the certification of the election FOR REAL.
4) The hiring of many many right wing lawyers who are now fully prepared to gather information that can be used to actually bring some kind of evidence to court, and to challenge every state, or district, that Biden wins that trump wants.
5) The firing of many key players in the RNC who MIGHT blow the whistle on the trump team and call out their evil doings, much as republicans in the former trump administration STOPPED, or tried to stop, trump from doing things he shouldn't. Going into this election, it's going to be total magats, dyed in the wool trump rump lickers on the inside of the Trump army.
6)The games will begin at a time and place designated by Chris LaCivita, that will be close enough to the election to have maximum impact to smear ALL democrats, not just Biden, and will be coordinated with the oil cut off by the Saudis & friends. This will insure that Biden and the Democrats don't have time to form a defensive strategy to counteract the chaos.
THIS IS THE BLOODBATH that trump is bragging about. And the Democrats had better be paying attention and have SOME sort of retaliation or defense, or it will truly be a gruesome bloodbath. Trump is desperate, and he doesn't care that he will destroy this country to keep from going to jail, and to be able to realize his dream of becoming a dictator like his buddies.

(1,429 posts)I read somewhere that the average IQ in the US is 97, not 100. That means the country has gotten 3 points dumber since the original IQ test.
Worse, it also means that more than half of all Americans are below the 100 average. When the majority of a country are below average in intelligence, Is it any wonder that TSF has so much support?

(81,673 posts)Trumps ramped-up rhetoric raises new concerns about violence and authoritarianism
Nov 13, 2023 6:35 PM EDT
...
Yes, so he as I said, there's a two-part thing that authoritarians do.
First, they change the view of violence. And Mr. Trump, since 2015, he started saying at his rallies, using his rallies and campaign events for radicalizing people. And he started saying, oh, in the old days, you used to hurt people. The problem is, Americans don't hurt each other anymore.
So now he's going into a new phase of openly dehumanizing his targets so that will lessen the taboos in the future. And we see that, in 2025, he's got plans for mass deportations, mass imprisonments and giant camps. So you need people to be less sensitive about violence, either committing it themselves or tolerating it.
And I see that as his the reason he's using this dehumanizing rhetoric now, to prepare people.

(19,204 posts)Trump and his handlers (think: Stephen Miller) know exactly what they're doing, and expect the hate talk to ramp up even more before November.
Vermin, animals, rapists, murderers......Trump is taking all humanity from these oppressed people.
I wish he could spend one day in these people's shoes. It wouldn't do any good, though. Someone completely devoid of humanity would have no compassion for them. Talk about someone being an "animal," Donald? Go look in a mirror, which is something you do quite often, I'm certain.

It's a pure cult mentality.

(20,776 posts)The Republican Party, with the enthusiastic help and funding of various domestic corporations and oligarchs, and the occasional assistance of foreign interests who do NOT have America's best interests at heart, began a project over sixty years ago: Dismantling public education.
Without much fanfare, it has been at or near the top of their agenda at every level from Federal to local, on a permanent basis, since the 1960s. Here's what this does for them:
First and foremost, it secures them a dedicated, permanent cadre of both tacitly and explicitly racist voters.
Second and not inconsiderable, it secures them a dedicated, permanent cadre of religious wackadoodle voters.
Third, and very much valued, it allows them to funnel tax dollars away from those who DON'T generally vote Republican and into religious schools, charter schools, voucher programs, etc. that benefit their terrified, hate-driven base, as well as the grifters running shitty ideology-based educational scams.
Fourth, on a smaller but still valuable scale, it allows them to disrupt public school tax funding generally, which often plays to their corporate and oligarch stakeholders by keeping local taxes low, kneecapping mil levies, etc.
Fifth, and deeply appreciated, it provides them with an endless string of culture-war hair-on-fire stupidities to keep their voters terrified.
Finally, a little cherry on top of the whole sundae of benefits to them, it ensures that more young people are getting less effective education, which makes them less likely to grow up into the kind of voters who take an intelligent interest in their own well-being.
Three whole generations of Americans have been raised in those 60 years, and in each generation, an increasing number experienced ever crappier, more crowded, more poorly-funded, less-effective schools.
Critical thinking. Civics classes. Arts education. Individual attention. A sense of safety. A sense of adventure and excitement in learning. Small classes. Highly-trained teachers. Highly-experienced teachers. Every year there are fewer of those things in our public education system, thanks to the GOP's diligence in fucking over public education.
Why are you surprised at the number of voters who think a "bloodbath" will be a good thing? Why are you surprised at the number of voters who enthusiastically dehumanize anyone they are told to?
This is not a new phenomenon, it did not come out of nowhere. It was the plan, all along. And it is reaching fruition.
