they had a *lot* of ballistic missiles with nuclear warheads.

WE ( and Europe ) asked them very nicely to give them up to be destroyed or re-deployed into Russia.

And we ( this time the USA ) made a promise to help the newly formed democracy secure their borders...

I don’t believe Russia would have ever attacked them if they still had a nuclear arsenal. We have a F’ing obligation to Ukraine, but I don’t expect the current GOP to understand that concept. Besides, they really are Putin’s puppets. I cry for Ukraine and I cry for the lost honor of my own country. I'm so frustrated I could scream.
