Hey DUers, can ask a favor? It is a Fraud Trial, a Falsifying of Records Trial, A tRump is a Friggen Crook Trial

Rather than a Hush Money Trial. May seem minor and picky but he committed fraud, didn't pay taxes, likely impacted an election which directly impacted Clinton and impacted all of us.

MAGAts will minimize it by claiming he just diddled a Porn star and paid her off.

Judge Juan Merchan began the long-awaited Manhattan criminal trial of former President Donald Trump on Monday by interviewing prospective jurors. Debate has been raging about every aspect of this historic trial – including what to call it. It is the first of four expected criminal trials involving Trump, and the only one in American history to feature a former president as the defendant.

Although it has long been referred to as the “hush money” case, the judge’s first substantive words to the jury made clear that is wrong. We should call it an “election interference” trial going forward.

When the judge described the case to prospective jurors, he said. “The allegations are in substance, that Donald Trump falsified business records to conceal an agreement with others to unlawfully influence the 2016 presidential election.” (Trump has pleaded not guilty and denied all wrongdoing in the cases against him.)

4. My concern with calling it an election interference trial is that it could confuse jurors and the public.

He hasn't been convicted of election interference and the charges listed in the indictment -- the charges that the jury will assess -- do not include a charge of election interference. So it could be confusing if they perceive this as an election interference trial but aren't being called upon to decide if trump violated the law against election interference

The porcine bag did it to win election.

The Guardian:

“In court documents, prosecutors note “with pressure mounting and the election approaching”, Trump appeared desperate to keep Daniels quiet. Cohen paid her on 26 October 2016, just 11 days before election day.”

Note: This is 19-days AFTER the Access Hollywood tape came out.
