I hope they act as surrogates the whole election.

I presume you're joking that none of them wants to admit to being related to him (and God knows I wouldn't blame them if they felt thst way). But that doesn't seem to be the case at all. Nobody's disowning anyone. They just don’t want their brother's candidacy to hurt Biden st the ballot box, because they know how much is at stake in this election.

RFK Jr. has is the oldest of 11 kids. Kerry Kennedy, one of his sisters, made a very moving speech, her voice literally shaking with emotion the whole time. It was obviously very difficult for her, and I really admire her courage. Inreturn, he has issued a very nice statement saying that the family is "divided in our opinions but united in our love for each other." He posted it in a message on X. I dont want to link to that cesspool, but here's the text:

I hear some of my family will be endorsing President Biden today. I am pleased they are politically active — it’s a family tradition. We are divided in our opinions but united in our love for each other.

I hold this as a possibility for America too. Can we disagree without hating our opponents? Can we restore civility and respect to public discourse? I think we can.

My campaign, which many of my family members are working on and supportive of, is about healing America — healing our economy, our chronic disease crisis, our middle class, our environment, and our standing in the world as a peaceful nation.

But this will only happen if we heal our national conversation, and move from rage and fear into love and respect. #KennedyShanahan24 🇺🇸

It sounds like they're all doing their best to get through this without blowing up the family, which I find amazing. I think it says a lot about that family, all of it good.

Of course, I'd be a lot more impressed if he called off his "stupid" campaign, but we can't have everything.
