And we should support our new members as they form the Union they want. I worked Union for over 30+ years and it was an experience I’ll never forget. Took advantage of being active and the opportunities and those values still have a place in my life. I hope their leadership represents them well as management will be testing them so be strong and know your values and your contract. ✊

It's the only thing that adds up with all their anti-worker, anti-women, racist, anti-American behaviors. We failed to excise the cancer post-Civil War. And now they're coming back stronger, probably with help from Russia and China.

Republicans and conservatives want only a rich class and a poor class. More workers, less rich. No woman’s heath care equals more workers. No workers rights equals “right to work” (fired just because).

There’s about as many in both houses

they were high school graduates who were able to have decent jobs with benefits (and piece work - remember that? My dad loved the reward of being able to make more if you put in the effort). All 3 of us kids were able to graduate from in-state colleges on the shoulders of their work.

My dad always said that the unions weren't perfect (some of them were pretty strong in the mid 1900s and could be violent as well), but without them they didn't have anything. With a union you were able to approach management as a group with demands - without that you'd just be individually fired if you said anything at all that they didn't like. I'm so glad to hear unions are on the rise again.
