But I’ve noticed the Tesla lots are filled to the brim nowadays. My hairdresser’s husband was going to buy a Tesla and changed his mind and brought a hybrid. He also hates Musk. I’ve heard second hand ones are hard to sell now.

are waiting for the buyers who ordered them to pick them up.

You may have heard wrong about used Teslas -- I sold my Model X last month to a local dealer and it was gone in 4 days.

Lots of people hating on Tesla these days because of Musk, but IMO they remain the EV brand that all the others are trying to catch up to.

Tesla is not moving manufacturing to Texas; they built a new facility to build the Cybertruck and Model Y, the best-selling car in the US. Tesla is not losing money.

Most auto manufacturers have international facilities.

The fact is that Tesla started the EV revolution and remains a class-leading innovator.

Don't let reflexive disgust with Musk blind oneself to reality.

If you are very public about your political opinions, there’s no way to stop your customers from factoring that in when they decide whether or not to buy your product. If you want to keep saying offensive things, then you have to accept the responsibility for any economic consequences.

To yourself. I work for a Fortune 500 company, and when there was pressure a couple years ago for companies to take ertain political positions, our CEO was silent on the matters and she instructed employees to do the same when asked by customers. As a shareholder, I liked that.

Along the same line, I dont like it when performers feel compelled to take political stances. While thankfully, I usually agree, I don't always. In those cases, I wish I didn't know.

I worked for 2 Chem 20 companies.
In one of them, the COO let slip during a managementconference (during a gubernatorial race) that we'd be better off if everyone voted for the R.
The following Monday, every attendee got an apology email stating he knew he should have kept that opinion to himself.
Later he became CEO, and I never heard him mention politics again. It's just good business.

Plus, I have a feeling they only come in some kind of automatic and I have always only driven stick shifts. I'm 75, still driving a stick, and I figure that when I can no longer manage it, I need to stop driving.

I'm also greatly bothered by the blanket claim that EVs are SO MUCH BETTER because they don't burn gas. Shall we look in to exactly how the batteries are made? Or what components those batteries have?

Rural areas vs Cities. Infrastructure doesn't exist for rural areas, thus his main base is cities.

To add, he makes the move from CA to TX. How many teslas are sold per capita in CA compared to TX!

since the market has changed in the last three years, there are many more models made by other manufacturers that are worth considering.

For example, I test drove a Hyundai Ioniq 5 and would definitely consider it.

The problem I have with Tesla now is that they have apparently scrapped plans to build the $25K "Model 2". Instead, they appear to be focusing on the robotaxi market. I think I would rather own a car than take robotaxis.

However I didn’t know Musk was a fascist ass monkey when I bought it. If I need to replace it I’ll be looking at other manufacturers.

Robotaxi is bullshit. FSD is many years away from driverless operation, and in my opinion will never get there with its current vision only and operate anywhere design.

I don't mind that FSD is cautious, I mind that it does stupidly wrong things that require me to be extra vigilant while it is in use. It is the opposite of autonomous operation, it is equivalent to being a driving instructor with a erratic and slightly deranged student.
