What do the people around him see during a typical day? With his health and mental issues, he may really be suffering.

Just sitting there on a loaded diaper might be torture. All day in court is a lot different than a couple hours at a rally and he hasn't looked good (for him) at those lately.

Outisde of his rallies, sitting in court for several hours is the most energy he spends. I am 30 years younger and in shape, when I have day long work meetings, they are tiring and tedious. And he is legitimately soiling himself every day, if he doesn't get time to change his diapers, he's going to be even more miserable and will get an infection.

I've been saying this for a while, he will have some sort of health event that will make this trial be delayed, or he'll be carried out.

Even in grade school when he slugged one ofhis teachers, so high school where he was the big man on campus, to college where he paid other kids to go to class for him. He's never had to sit and obey someone else. All of his other cases were civil where he could just show up for a half hour here and there.

This is a pampered man who brags about never working a single day in his life. He's never had to do this, never had to sit still for this long. He can't take it mentally, if he's there everyday for 6 weeks he is going to crack. Wait for it. He's going to either have a medical emergency or he's going to fake one to get out of having to sit still for so long.

They've probably got him doped into docility to minimize the risk of him engaging in disruptive behavior in court that might lead to a contempt charge. He can't take it* mentally, so they get him zoned out. It's early, so they may still be tweaking dosage to find that line between mildly dissociated and falling asleep.

*I don't know where the issue falls between "can't sit still" and "can't stand to not be the one in charge ordering everyone around", probably some of both.
