About that brilliant speech by Senator Ossoff of Georgia, posted here on DU last Friday

I sent him a personal note saying what a great speech it was, and he replied, saying it meant a lot to him, and he really appreciated it.

Even US Senators don't live and work in a vacuum, and being from Georgia, you can imagine that Jon will have gotten plenty of hate mail from the radical right. If anyone has the time and inclination, you could do worse than to go to his website and add some words of praise for his courage to face his Republican colleagues, on camera, and call them out for the hypocrites that they are. I can't guarantee he'll see every one, and I can't post his private email, but I can tell you that his staff will report the notes of encouragement to him, and he will be glad to know that people are watching and listening.

He gets little enough time with them, and spends as much time with them as his job allows.

Plus, I guess that if "Progressive Talk Radio" was asking that, they must have now declared it politically incorrect to acknowledge Jewish holidays. I'm not Jewish (Jon is, of course), but even I knew that Monday and Tuesday were Passover.
