I love judge Merchan, he is in a precarious position, he doesn't want to lose the trial on a technicality.
With that said, he doesn't want to lose control of the trial. If he keeps giving TSF slaps on the wrist for threatening jurors and witnesses, that is what will happen.
Andrew Weissmann suggested treating TSF like a child, give him a time out in the pen in the courthouse.
Trump has certainly already been treated better than you or I would be treated.
My guess, fines and a warning for a time out.

(16,899 posts)This way, TSF has been warned. When he continues to violate the terms set by Judge Merchan, he can try to say his Constitutional rights were violated. THAT would be a boldface LIE.
Sanction his Lawyers as well for not relating said warnings to their belligerent client at the pleasure of the Judge. It is HIS courtroom after all and he IS the LAW.

(32,798 posts)Tsf just gave a crazy ass speech attacking Joe Biden, probably because he anticipates getting locked up. Hell... Maybe he even wants to be locked up.
The optics have already been twisted and people are going to feel whatever the fuck they feel. When all else fails just do the right thing. You can't go wrong when you do the right thing.

(21,508 posts)There should be no consideration to the politics of locking TSF up. Give him what he wants.

(11,540 posts)immediately on break posted shit about the judge saying he should be taken off the case. If I was the judge that would be last straw and I would do more than slap on wrist. It was immediate flagrant fu to the court.
