MSNBC interviewed two kids aged about 14 or so that attended the trial.

Looks like they saw thru the stupidity of the defense.

Added.
They wanted the opportunity of attending an historic trial.
The girl wants to be a lawyer.
The girl thought it was funny the defense attorney was annihilated by the judge.

The boy was interested in David Pecker with his catch and kill. He thought parts of his testimony was credible but thought he was also trying to help Trump.

The girl mentioned learning about bias in stories how it related in court.

The boy mentioned Trump nodding off at times.
The girl thought Trump was unnaturally still at times.

Opening Ceremonies.
Was clear they don’t like Trump (which I appreciate) but neither was worth the air time they were given.

and the Iowa diner coffee klatch interviews - that everyone derides so bitterly.
(And, have to agree - as far as useful content or commentary ... Pretty much nil. Other hand - we've had 'journalists' making their living on 'man in the street' interviews - pretty much forever too .. )

They were probably lucky to get in. I'm surprised they were even able to get in. Most there were likely journalists and other adults.

Sure, by age 14 they know about sex and what a prostitute is. But I'm thinking back to a different time period when it would have been thought inappropriate for young teens to attend a trial about such a "tawdry" subject as porn stars and presidential candidates covering up hired sexual encounters.

I couldn't get over how the kid's appearance and voice reminded me of Sam.

The resemblance was so remarkable that I did catch his name when Chris Jansing thanked them at the end.

The spoke what they spoke based on a young person's impression of what they saw.

I enjoyed listening. Even as they didn't really understand it all, they took good views of what they saw.

But in the end, They were two kids. Leave them alone.

"Opening ceremony"? So what. They were kids who took the initiative to be there for history.

Kudos to them.

Period!!!

They provided insight from their perspective.

And they appeared to see thru the stupidity of the defense attorney. And also reported trump nodding off.

they took the initiative to go observe the trial which I think speaks very well of them. Their observations were not unlike the pundits who are also observing.
