Arrests made during pro-Palestinian protest near Sen. Schumer's Brooklyn home
Numerous arrests were made as pro-Palestinian Jewish groups protested near Sen. Chuck Schumers Brooklyn home Tuesday.
Demonstrators gathered in Grand Army Plaza around 5:30 p.m. on Schumers doorstep to demand the U.S. stop arming the Israeli military, according to progressive activist group Jewish Voice for Peace, which regularly protests outside the senators home.
Police were called to the plaza, where multiple arrests were made, according to an NYPD spokesperson.
Up to thousands of protestors from various Jewish groups were in attendance for the emergency Seder during the second night of Passover, according to posts on X.com.
