General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsIt is just great that MEN are arguing for the Idaho Abortion ban & emergency care
where the Idaho abortion ban is challenging a federal law requiring hospitals to provide an abortion to stabilize the health of a pregnant person during an emergency before the Supreme Court.
F**K THEM
and while I am at it, f**k those jackasses who actively encouraged people not to vote for Hillary in the general election in 2016.

(86,795 posts)Where women are not allowed to speak for themselves. The menfolk are starting to notice that moms who already have four to seven kids dying over another pregnancy is petty damned inconvenient for them so they decided it was a bad idea after all.

Idaho allows termination only if it is necessary to prevent death. However, Organ damage and other situations do exist that can result in infection, sepsis, etc. that can lead to death, which EMTALA (Emergency Medical Treatment & Labor Act).
Alito's questioning is more concerned with the life of the fetus than the life of the mother. He is such a jackass.

(102,376 posts)a recent poll showed that significant others intend to leave as well in the coming year from across all types of practice. The final nail is that new physicians are indicating Idaho as among those states they would NOT consider relocating to practice or train. https://www.spokesman.com/stories/2024/mar/13/idaho-needs-doctors-but-many-dont-want-to-come-wha/
The big backlash is not merely going to kill (apparently dispensable) women!

(81,500 posts)Its clearly of no concern to them. Women must be brought to heel, and open legs and shut mouths. Possible repercussions that MUST - repeat: MUST be considered and discussed and factored in on this issue (and, frankly, this RIGHT) are simply ignored. Not part of the discussion. La-la-la-la-la-la-la dont even bother to bring it up
FUCK that!!!

Men are making themselves irrelevant. I am happily married but if anything happens to my husband, I will get a cat. A female cat.

Did you hear after the Dobbs decision was referred to Gorsuch said something to the effect 'not our finest hour' Just curious if some of them are regretting that decision.
I actually looked over the transcript and he actually said 'brightest moment'

(23,337 posts)One would hope that's the case.

(81,500 posts)Whats this, Gorsuch? You starting to have second thoughts? Now??? When its too late and the damage is done? Which one of the rights we still have do you plan to take away next?
